About Constructing Excellence Hampshire

Constructing Excellence Hampshire brings together senior professionals involved in shaping projects across the region to improve outcomes in the built environment.

Across the industry, many of the same issues continue to arise on projects: unclear briefs, misaligned incentives, late changes to scope, procurement pressures and limited opportunities to share lessons across organisations.

The Hampshire group provides a trusted forum where clients, consultants, contractors and specialists can openly discuss these challenges and share practical insight drawn from real projects.

Our pilot year theme is “Why Do Construction Projects Still Go Wrong?” Each event focuses on a different stage of the project lifecycle — client brief and viability, planning and design, procurement and delivery, and completion and operation — examining the pressures, trade-offs and behaviours that influence project success.

Why Join?

  • Honest discussion: A trusted, senior-only forum where you can speak openly about what's really going wrong on projects — not a polished industry seminar.

  • Practical insight: Real lessons from real projects across clients, consultants and contractors, focused on improvement rather than theory.

  • A growing regional network: Be part of building a respected Hampshire platform from the ground up during our pilot year.

Membership plans

We're currently in our pilot year, running four roundtable events for senior leaders across the Hampshire built environment. Following the pilot year, the committee may introduce a membership structure to support future activity.
